How to temporarily lock your card on Express Banking
- On the Absa website home page click on Logon in the top right of the screen
- Logon to Absa Online Banking
- Click on the Express tab
- Click Settings
- Under Card management, click on Temporarily lock
- Accept SureCheck
- Click on the dropdown and select the card you want to lock
- Select the transaction) you want to lock by ticking the boxes
- Click Next
- Click Confirm
- Accept SureCheck
- Click Done

How to apply for a Personal Loan
- On the Personal Loan page, click on the Apply now button
- For existing customers, select Absa customer and use Online Banking
Click Let’s start
- Logon to Absa Online Banking
- Accept SureCheck
- Tick all boxes to give Absa your consent to process the application
Click Let’s continue
- A pre-qualified loan amount and term will display. Enter the amount you would like to borrow and the term. The calculator will display the estimated loan instalment for the selected amount and term
Fill in the required details
Click Let’s continue
- Confirm your personal details
Click Let’s continue
- Confirm your employment details
Click Let’s continue
- Confirm your income and expenses details
Click Let’s continue
- The loan you qualify for will display. Accept, save or reject the offer
If you accept the offer, choose the notification method for your credit agreement
Click Submit
- Check your DebiCheck debit order details and accept
Click Let’s continue
- Congratulations. Your loan application has been approved and your loan will be paid into your account

How to reverse your debit order
- On the Absa website home page click on Logon in the top right of the screen
- Logon to Absa Online Banking
- Select Transact on the side menu
- Click My Debit Orders
- Select the account that was used to make the debit order payment
View your debit order, then select Stop and Reverse
- Select Reverse payment
Choose the reason for the reversal, accept the disclaimer and then click Next
- Accept the verification request
- Debit order is successfully reversed
Note: Debit orders older than 40 days cannot be reversed on the app.
The limit for online debit order reversal is R500. Should you need to reverse a higher amount, please email us at debitorder@absa.co.za or visit your nearest branch.

How to stop and replace a stolen or retained card
- On the Absa website home page click on Logon in the top right of the screen
- Logon to Absa Online Banking
- From the Full Service tab click on Profile, then Card Management
- Click Manage card
- Accept SureCheck
- Click Done
- From the dropdown arrow select the card you are replacing, the reason, the product and card type
- Select the delivery address and add details
Click Next
- Verify the details and click on Order replacement card
- Accept SureCheck
- Tap Done
- You have ordered a new card successfully
