At KSU, we believe there is no substitute for the global enrichment provided by geographic, ethnic, racial, religious, and cultural diversity. If you’re an international student planning on applying to KSU, you should plan to have all documents in at least one month before the published deadline for your selected program. International students must meet basic international admissions requirements for their classification, and you may have additional requirements based on visa type, country of origin, and educational history.
You are considered an international student if you meet the following criteria:
Requirements for F-1, J-1, H1-B, or Permanent Resident Alien (Green Card Holder)
IMPORTANT: Online programs are NOT eligible for F-1 Student Visa
If you have a non-immigrant visa other than F-1, J-1, or H-1B (such as L, E, A, K, B, etc.), please contact the Office of Graduate Admissions so an admissions officer can determine your admission requirements and enrollment eligibility.
Foreign Credential Evaluations
Foreign credentials refer to transcripts from educational institutions outside the United States. All applicants (domestic and international) with foreign credentials are required to submit an official evaluation. An official evaluation is a review of your academic documents to provide U.S. equivalency. Evaluations must include course-by-course and a calculation of your GPA. Evaluations must come to us in a sealed envelope or electronically directly from the agency. Please do not send international transcripts directly to Kennesaw State University.
Below are the various methods you can use to meet the English Proficiency requirement for admission.
Applicants not exempt by A or B above must take the TOEFL or IELTS test.
*Supporting documentation (i.e. copy of passport) may be requested.
**Official transcripts must be on file with Graduate Admissions
